The 2025 Legislative Session
While we are working toward solving the child care crisis for the future, Washington’s providers and families are shouldering the high costs of child care today. In 2025’s challenging budget climate, we advocated to preserve investments in early learning programs critical for Washington’s children, family and child care workforce. For a full breakdown of investments, cuts and reductions in early learning funding for the 2025 budget, see this resource from our partners at Start Early Washington.
We are committed to restoring and maintaining funding and services for early learning. To avoid future cuts to child care and to face upcoming challenges at the state and federal level, Child Care Aware of Washington supports new progressive revenue in Washington state, so that the wealthiest corporations and wealthy few can pay what they truly owe to the communities that make them successful.
Child Care for WA
CCA of WA supports the Child Care for WA campaign, a broad movement of parents, child care providers, businesses, and advocacy organizations working together to fix the child care crisis.
