Child Care Aware of Washington provides thorough and independent information and analysis to illustrate the need for healthy child care businesses and equitable access for all families. The reports below reflect important data such as the number of child care providers, providers by type, children using subsidies, and child care provider compensation.

About the data: The information presented in this dashboard comes from the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) and the U.S. Census Bureau. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the data should be interpreted with care and within its proper context. This dashboard provides an overview of licensed child care across Washington state, organized by county. It includes data on child care capacity, program demographics, cost of care for families, child care demand, and community demographics.
